Critical Religion Theory

In general, as of 2021, there is a lack of thinking within the United States of America as to some simple and obvious facts regarding religion:
1. Most people have the identical religion of their parents in childhood and even beyond the Age of Reason thinking, age 21. Was it an adult choice to pick your specific religion, or were you taught the religion at a very young age?
1a. Think of which spoken and written languages and compare the timeline of when children are taught to speak and write and their parent's religion. Were parents teaching multiple languages and religions to their children, or just one of each?
2. The history of religions, other religions besides the one that parents have taught, is typically not educated in society. Other than very limited perspective on things like The Crusades.
3. Is it possible to translate from religion to religion much like spoken language to spoken language, at a deeper level. Common rituals such as weddings and funerals and learning different aspects of what is common and unique. Transition thresholds such as childhood to adulthood, etc. Joseph Campbell was working on a library of such cross-references up until his death at age 83.
